How to set up Xtream Codes on Apple TV

Fjord Player connects to an Xtream Codes account using three details from your provider: a server address, username and password. The app is free; your content and any provider subscription are separate.

Before you start

Install Fjord IPTV Player from the Apple TV App Store. The current public release requires tvOS 17 or later. Have your provider's exact server address ready, including its protocol and port if one was supplied. A Stalker portal or MAC-address activation is a different connection type; Fjord's Xtream form is for Xtream accounts.

Connect your account

1. Open Fjord and select Add Xtream Codes account on the welcome screen or under Settings > Playlists.
2. Give the account a name you will recognise.
3. Enter the server address your provider supplied. Keep its http:// or https:// and port number. Use the stream server, which may differ from the provider's customer website.
4. Enter the username and password in their separate fields, respecting upper and lower case.
5. Save the account and wait for the library to load. Browse Live TV, Movies and Shows for the sections your provider supplies.

Xtream Codes or M3U?

Both can give you access to the same provider library. Xtream supplies structured catalogue information and can provide show seasons and episode details directly. An M3U link supplies a playlist of streams. If you only received a playlist URL, use our M3U setup guide; you do not need to guess separate login details.

If the account does not connect

• Recheck the server and port. Do not substitute a website login page for the stream server or change the supplied protocol.
• Recheck the credentials. Copy them exactly and remove accidental spaces at either end.
• Check account status. An expired account or a provider connection limit can prevent loading or playback.
• Separate loading from playback. If the catalogue loads but one title fails, the account may be fine and that particular stream unavailable. If every item fails, check the provider and connection.

Why are some sections empty?

Not every provider account includes films, series, a TV guide or catch-up. Fjord displays the catalogue and programme data your source returns. A successful login does not guarantee that every section has content.

For app support, include your Fjord version and what happened. Never include your provider password or full playlist URL. You can also compare ten Apple TV players before choosing one.
